Survey - Private Dog Park

The founders of Chase’s Hollow recognise the importance of exercise and socialization to the health and well being of our dogs, and our positive interactions with them. There are several ways in which dog owners strive to fulfill these needs.

In the past, dog owners have had the following choices:

Public access leash-free parks.

  • No supervision or monitoring.
  • Over crowded and limited space.
  • Facilities not always clean or maintained.
  • Encounters with irresponsible dog owners, and non-social dogs, professional dog walkers handling multiple dogs, etc.

Regional forest hiking trails

  • Encounter with mountain bikes, motorized vehicles, horses.
  • Adults or children who are afraid of dogs.
  • Coyotes or other wildlife that may carry the risk of disease.
  • Encounter with irresponsible dog owners, and non-social dogs, professional dog walkers handling multiple dogs, etc.

Local parks and recreation facilities

  • Dogs must be on leashes.
  • Organised sports and other “non-dog” activities competing for the same space and time.
  • Adults or children who are afraid of dogs.
  • Encounter with irresponsible dog owners, and non-social dogs, professional dog walkers handling multiple dogs, etc.

Obedience Classes, and dog sports such as Schutzhund, Fly Ball, Agility etc.

  • Restricting financial commitment.
  • Restricting time commitment.
  • Dogs must be healthy and of appropriate age and ability.

We believe there is a better solution.
